Jose Urquidy Almost Ready For Rehab Assignment
4 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Jose Urquidy (shoulder) threw 25 pitches in a bullpen session on Thursday and also felt good after playing catch on Friday. The 26-year-old has been out of the rotation since May 12 due to shoulder inflammation, an ailment that landed him on the 10-day injured list. Although the righty is eligible to return on Sunday, it is more reasonable for fantasy managers to see him back on the hill sometime in early June, assuming everything goes well during an upcoming rehab assignment. Urquidy currently has a 3.22 ERA, a slight increase from last season. However, with 33 strikeouts throughout just over 44 innings of work so far in 2021, fantasy managers are certainly eagerly awaiting his return.
