4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Marcus Stroman allowed just two earned runs over six-plus innings in the Mets 6-5 12-inning win over the Marlins on Friday night. He struck out eight while allowing only six hits and one walk in a solid performance. It was a nice bounce-back for Stroman who was roughed up by the Rays last Sunday in Tampa. Stroman was removed from the game in the seventh inning, despite only throwing 89 pitches. He did not factor into the decision. Stroman, who now owns a 2.75 ERA and 1.07 WHIP over 52 1/3 innings pitched in 2021, continues to impress. He should remain active in all fantasy formats for his next scheduled start on Wednesday at home against the Rockies. The last time he faced the Rockies on April 18 in Colorado, Stroman went eight innings, allowing only three hits and one earned run.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
