Kevin Pillar Undergoes Surgery In New York On Friday
4 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar (face) underwent surgery in New York on Friday to repair multiple nasal fractures as a result of being hit by a pitch directly in the face on Monday against the Atlanta Braves. Pillar is currently on the 10-day injured list. It is unclear how long Pillar will be sidelined while he recovers from the brutal injury. Khalil Lee will likely continue to see regular playing time in the short term until Brandon Nimmo (finger), Michael Conforto (hamstring), and Albert Almora Jr. (shoulder) can return to action.
