4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco (hamstring), currently on the 60-day injured list, still has not started throwing off a mound. He is merely playing catch at this point. As a result, Carrasco, initially expected to return to the Mets around the week of May 9, remains weeks away from a return to the rotation. Ugh. This is yet another frustrating setback in Carrasco's return timeline. Carrasco has yet to throw a single pitch for the New York Mets, after being traded from Cleveland in the off-season. Carrasco had a solid 2020 with the Indians posting a 2.91 ERA with 82 strikeouts in 68 innings pitched. When Carrasco eventually returns to the injury-ravaged Mets rotation, he should slot in as their SP2. Of course, fantasy managers should continue to monitor this situation. Every time it appears his return is close, the timeline gets pushed back by weeks further adversely impacting Carrasco's fantasy value, particularly in redraft formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
