Jose Abreu Crushes Home Run
4 years agoChicago White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu continued his strong month of May by going 1-for-4 with a towering two-run home run in Sunday's loss versus the New York Yankees. Abreu sat out the first the three games of the week with an ankle sprain, but hasn't missed a beat since returning to the lineup. Abreu remains one of the most consistent sluggers in the league and is now hitting .255 nine home runs and 35 RBI on the season. His buy-low window should have closed earlier this month and managers should continue to deploy the veteran on a daily basis. Abreu will look to keep it going versus the St. Louis Cardinals and starting pitcher Kwang Hyun Kim on Monday.
