3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Mark Canha went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in a loss to the Mariners on Monday. Fantasy managers dig the long ball, but Canha's real value lies in the walks as he now has 26 walks (and 10 hit-by-pitches) against only 40 strikeouts this season. His .388 on-base percentage ranks 21st among all hitters as he's been everything the A's want in a leadoff hitter. Canha's on-base ability has led to six steals and 38 runs scored in only 47 games.
