4 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (quad) will run the bases and hit before Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. Stanton is technically eligible to come off of the injured list, though there are a couple of hurdles left for him to clear, such as running the bases, something he hasn't done yet. Manager Aaron Boone said Stanton could "possibly" return during the three-game series against the Blue Jays. It's slightly frustrating for fantasy managers, as Tuesday was initially the forecasted date for his return to the field, though he still appears close and hasn't suffered a setback. Fantasy gamers should expect Stanton back in their lineups by the end of the week at the latest.--Tim Capurso
