4 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit could miss the team's three-game weekend series against the Detroit Tigers for the birth of his child. Voit's wife is expected to give birth to their child on Friday, the start of the team's road series against Detroit. The slugger will play the three games against Toronto and will likely be away from the team when they're on the road. Mike Ford and DJ LeMahieu, who is also welcoming in a new member of the family, would be in line to fill in for Voit at first base against the Tigers.--Tim Capurso
