3 years agoColorado Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland took a no-decision on Tuesday when he allowed just one run on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts in a 3-1 loss to the New York Mets. Freeland was making his first start of the season after missing a little over two months with a shoulder strain. He looked a bit rusty as it took him 74 pitches--38 strikes--to get through four innings. He did struggle with his control as he issued three free passes but he did manage to punch out five. The only run he allowed came from an RBI groundout in the first inning. His return should serve as a boost to the Rockies' rotation moving forward though. He gets a favorable matchup with the Pirates on the road in his next turn.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
