4 years agoTampa Bay Rays prospect Josh Lowe had a strong performance on Tuesday with three hits, including a home run. The 23-year-old outfielder also drove in five runs in the game. The outburst pushed his batting average up to .317 for the season. It's taken some time for Lowe to tap into his raw power but after hitting 18 home runs in 121 games in 2019, he has now seen 13 of his 19 hits go for extra bases — including seven home runs — in just 15 games this season. He also has the ability to develop into a 20-20 (HR-SB) player at the MLB level and stole 30 bases in 2019. So far this year, he's been a perfect 2-for-2 on the base paths. With a 183 wRC+ at Triple-A, he may not be far away from receiving his first taste of MLB action.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
