4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher John Gant provided five more scoreless innings in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Chicago White Sox. Gant allowed five hits while walking three and striking out three. He earned the win, improving to 4-3 and lowering his ERA to 1.81. Gant has been really good at keeping runs off the board, but he throws a lot of pitches and is rarely able to go deep into games. Still, he's definitely been a useful starter in the Cardinals rotation and has value in mixed leagues as well.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
