3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher James Kaprielian continued to prove he deserves a permanent spot in the A's rotation by tossing seven shutout innings on Wednesday. Kaprielian only struck out four, but was in control all afternoon as he allowed just two hits and two walks against a punchless Mariners offense. The former Yankees' prospect has made three starts for Oakland this season and is 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 19 strikeouts across 17 2/3 innings.
