UCL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Chelsea vs Manchester City
This version of the UEFA Champions League Final will be an all-English final as Chelsea and Manchester City (-115) face off Saturday. The two teams have actually played twice within the last several weeks with Chelsea winning both times. However, City did not have their A+ lineup in either of those games, and there was more pressure on Chelsea to win those games. It should be a great match between these two teams with City likely having the edge. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Kevin de Bruyne ($15) will be the most popular captain option on the slate. He's one of the best midfielders in the world and has a perfect mix of peripherals and goal upside (+300). Another bonus with KDB is the fact that he is essentially a lock to play all 90 minutes. Contrary to the EPL, each team is allowed five substitutes still in UCL play. KDB will likely not be one of the City attackers to get subbed off in this game giving him more time to score fantasy points.
Both Phil Foden ($11) and Riyad Mahrez ($14) have been on a tear in the Champions League this season and are great secondary options. A KDB/Foden pairing will likely be very popular especially with Mahrez's price climbing.
On the Chelsea side, Timo Werner ($13) is the most likely starter to score at +380 despite his well-documented scoring issues this season. There's no doubt that Werner puts himself in great spots to score, but he has difficulty converting chances into goals.
Christian Pulisic ($10) is another Chelsea attacker I will be looking at come Saturday. His ability to create on the attack with his speed and agility is unmatched for Chelsea. If Chelsea are to win, they will need Pulisic to be brilliant. He has a fair price here for DFS purposes considering his peripherals and goal/assist upside are both solid.
If he's healthy, N'golo Kante ($5) will be the best value attacker on the slate. The guy just doesn't stop running and can accumulate defensive stats at a high rate in this kind of game.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
Antonio Rudiger ($7) has been really great for Chelsea recently. He's also putting up strong fantasy numbers, and his price remains at a solid range. He should be very busy in this game with City likely to have the majority of the possession here. He's one of the safer fantasy defenders in this game, and he has decent upside in the upper teens.
Ruben Dias ($6) is another one of my go-to defenders on this slate. He's been an awesome center-back for City all season long. Chelsea allow some decent defensive peripherals, and Dias will be in a good spot to collect them. He's underpriced in this matchup especially when you consider a possible clean sheet bonus with City's strong defense and Chelsea's struggles scoring.
