3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (thumb) has been sidelined with a broken thumb and has been out of the Reds lineup since early May. While it has been a slow recovery process, Votto was able to take batting practice on Friday. Before being injured, the Reds first baseman had a .226 batting average, five home runs and 17 RBI in 29 games.
