4 years agoSan Francisco Giants first baseman Darin Ruf (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Thursday. At first, the organization was hopeful that Ruf would miss the minimum amount of time. Although, it was revealed on Friday that Ruf suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain. Manager Gabe Kapler believes the veteran slugger is going to miss roughly a month of action. He was playing fairly well with his part-time role on the Giants. Jason Vosler might be asked to see more action now, but won't be much of a fantasy option. Most fantasy managers can likely look elsewhere for help with Ruf likely going to miss a month or more of action.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
