Patrick Wisdom Does It All In Monday's Victory
3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Patrick Wisdom picked up his second start consecutive start on Monday versus the San Diego Padres and he put together his best performance since being called up last week. Wisdom drew the start at third base and went 3-for-4 with two home runs and a stolen base in the Cubs victory. Wisdom has been playing all over the diamond since his promotion and he has performed well with a .467 batting average to go along with three home runs, three RBI and one stolen base in 15 at-bats. Wisdom has been getting opportunities with first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back), outfielder Jason Heyward (hamstring) and infielders David Bote (shoulder) and Nico Hoerner (hamstring) all sidelined. Wisdom should eventually regress and lose playing time when those players start to return, but he should be an affordable option in DFS leagues and is only a dart throw in very deep mixed leagues.
