3 years agoAfter an extended slump, San Diego Padres outfielder Wil Myers has recorded eight knocks in his last 20 at-bats, hammering two homers amidst a five-game hitting streak. Coupled with a COVID-19 IL stint, the 30-year-old had struggled since mid-April, troughing with a .686 OPS on May 26. With the mini hot streak, Myers has lifted his season totals to a .252/.335/.424 slash with six homers, four steals and 42 runs-plus-RBI in 158 plate appearances. Myers has failed to make hard contact this season with a weak 85.8 mph exit velocity. Encouragingly, his strikeouts are way down this season and if he lifts his hard-hit rate from 39 percent to his career mid-40s clip, the headline stats could rebound. Fantasy managers should stay patient.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
