Yonathan Daza Collects Three Hits In Win Over Rangers
3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Yonathan Daza went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a strikeout in a 3-2 extra-innings win over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Daza started in center field and hit second for the second game in a row. He collected three hits on the day, all singles, one of which drove in a run in the fifth inning. The 27-year-old has made the most of his playing time since being called up back in April and it's very encouraging that he's hit out of the number two hole the last few games. He's slashing a healthy .328/.372/.395 with five doubles, one home run, 11 RBI, and two stolen bases over 119 at-bats this season. He doesn't offer much power but he could be an asset in deeper OBP leagues.
