3 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez continued his strong with season by going 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's victory versus the San Diego Padres. Baez crushed a two-run shot off of Miguel Diaz in the bottom of the seventh inning to add insurance runs to the Cubs lead. Baez is having a fantastic season in his walk year and is now hitting .255 with 14 home runs, 38 RBI and eight stolen bases. Baez will look to pick up where he left off against the San Francisco Giants and starter Anthony DeSclafani on Thursday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
