3 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Raimel Tapia went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI, and one run scored in a 6-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. Tapia entered the day going 4-for-35 over his previous nine games so this was a solid effort for the 27-year-old. Tapia led off the fifth inning with a double and came around to score on a Ryan McMahon sacrifice fly. He then knocked in a pair of runs with an RBI double in the sixth inning before tacking on an insurance run with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth. The three-hit day gives Tapia a .261/.317/.367 batting line to go along with five home runs, 29 RBI, and five stolen bases on the year. His rate stats are a bit underwhelming at the moment but he was batting over .300 in the middle of May and is certainly capable of going on a run in June to raise his slash line.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
