3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit (oblique) was able to take dry swings on Friday. Voit was placed on the injured list with a Grade 2 oblique strain, though he has built up his activity in recent days, as he was running on the field Thursday and then taking dry swings Friday. The slugging first baseman should remain sidelined for at least another 10 days or so, but it's a good sign that he's able to ramp up his activity without setback. The Yankees should continue to go with DJ LeMahieu as their primary first baseman moving forward.--Tim Capurso
