3 years agoErik Jones starts from the 18th position on Sunday at the California track. He has six top-ten finishes in 12 road course races. That includes two in three appearances at Sonoma. His place differential improvement is +5, +13, and +24. Even on the lower end, the Richard Petty Motorsports Driver may be one of the few drivers that have tested well with both the horsepower package and downforce adjustments. It boils down to speed on the longer runs for Jones on Sunday. Either way, moving up the field a bit is very likely.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
