4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm went 1-for-3 with two strikeouts against Max Scherzer and the Nationals on Friday night. Bohm is now hitting just .215 this season after batting .338 in the shortened 2020 campaign. The 24-year-old was fortunate last season as he had a .410 BABIP. Everyone knew that wasn't sustainable, but things have swung the other direction this season as his .281 BABIP - paired with a 28% strikeout rate - has Bohm looking like a bust in fantasy. The whiffs are concerning, but there's still hope for Bohm. His hard-hit rate and average exit velocity are both slightly higher than last season and this is still a former top prospect. Expect Bohm to improve as the season progresses making him a solid addition if he was dropped amid this slump.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
