3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Tyler Mahle turned in an excellent performance in a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Mahle allowed two runs over seven innings of work while striking out eight and walking just one. He picked up the win, improving his record to 5-2, to go along with a 3.32 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 72 strikeouts in 62 1/3 innings of work. Mahle's ascension to a top of the rotation ace has been a pleasant development for fantasy gamers and the Reds, especially considering how poorly Luis Castillo has pitched. Mahle will take on the Colorado Rockies at home in Cincinnati next time out.--Matt T - RotoBaller
