Lucas Sims Nails Down Fifth Save
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Lucas Sims threw a scoreless ninth inning to save a 5-2 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Sims struck out two and worked around two hits to pick up the save in the contest. The veteran now has a 3-1 record, 4.91 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, five saves, and 33 strikeouts in 22 innings of work. Sims seems to have ascended to the preferred ninth-inning option in Cincinnati, although he has still been losing the occasional save chance to Tejay Antone. Sims should be rostered in all leagues moving forward.
