3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hip) is on the verge of a rehab assignment with the Triple-A St. Paul Saints. Buxton is running at 100 percent without issues and could play in rehab games sometime in the coming week, per manager Rocco Baldelli. The speedy outfielder has been sidelined since May 6 with a hip strain and had a couple of bumps in the road when it came to running at full strength, though he finally appears close to a return to action. Fantasy managers likely can't wait to slot Buxton, who was slashing .370/.408/.772 with nine homers, 36 combined runs and RBI, and five stolen bases in 24 games played, back into their lineups.--Tim Capurso
