Wade Miley Throws Five Scoreless Innings On Sunday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Wade Miley pitched well in an 8-7 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Miley threw five scoreless innings while striking out eight and walking two but he had to settle for a no-decision in the contest. The veteran southpaw has a 5-4 record, 2.96 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 48 strikeouts over 54 2/3 innings of work. Even though he lacks the upside of some of the bigger names out there, Miley has been one of the more consistent starting pitchers in the NL this season. He will look to keep it going next time out when he faces the Colorado Rockies.
