NHL DFS Prop Picks for 6/8 - PrizePicks

Hello everybody and welcome! We bring you yet another playoff edition of NHL DFS on PrizePicks and that means our friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, NHL DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score. This game consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NHL, Single Stat consists of save and shooter shot props in which you determine if the goalie or shooter in question will go over or under their projected save and shot total respectively. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. For today's article, we are going to try and focus on the main board's Fantasy Score and see which players may go over or under their projected point totals. Let's see what the board offers today!

Please note that today's slate has an overlap with Wednesday's game. So, if it seems like there are a few weird names, that is why. We will focus on tonight's game with hints on Slack and social media for the overlap as well.

Fantasy Score Point Totals

Sebastian Aho Over 4.6 Points. Sometimes Saturday happens. That's right. Eight goals were scored between the Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightning during the second period. Carolina is on the brink of elimination after Tampa Bay split at home. The question is can Aho and the Hurricanes stave off the end? Aho has come up with some incredible performances when there has been little or no margin for error. The center has 11 points in ten games overall but three games of multiple goals. Also, he is averaging 3.6 shots per game with 6+ attempts per contest. Take the over on a night where Carolina must win.

Max Pacioretty Over 4.1 Points. Tuesday night is another installment of how will Pacioretty find a way to score points against the Colorado Avalanche. Pacioretty and the Vegas Golden Knights have pretty much dominated the series at even strength since the end of Game 1. The result is a tied series that looks to be teetering even though Game 5 is back in Colorado. In the last three games, Pacioretty has two goals and an assist. He has a blocked shot in two of those games. Also, he has 15 shots on goal in this span. That adds up to a good deal of points along with solid point potential. Take the over with Vegas expected to get their share of shots on goal.

Dougie Hamilton Over 3.9 Points. This could be somewhat of a risk but Hamilton is averaging over nine shot attempts a game and five shots on goal a night. Combine that with averaging 1.5 to two blocked shots a game and the Carolina defenseman is already on the cusp of hitting the over. The key with these props often is about riding the wave. Carolina's urgency level is at an extreme high as they did not expect to be down three games to one at this point. The Hurricanes with their core are going to come out at a frenetic pace again on Tuesday night. Choose the over with Hamilton on Tuesday night.

Nikita Kucherov Over 4.6 Points. There was an indication that Kucherov's prop total might go up but it never did. That is something to be thankful for. As long as the Tampa Bay Lightning gets a few power-play opportunities, Kucherov's effectiveness and point potential go up. The Russian winger is the quarterback of their power play as most everything channels through him and not Victor Hedman. This allows Hedman to be a good deal more effective as well. As for the right-winger, it is a good idea to take a shot at the over on Tuesday night.
