3 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs scored in the Mets 14-1 rout of the Orioles on Wednesday. Pillar continues to lead the Mets bench during a time when so many regulars including Brandon Nimmo (finger), Michael Conforto (hamstring), and Jeff McNeil (hamstring) remain sidelined on the injured list. Pillar is making the most of his opportunity with regular playing time in the Mets lineup. He now owns a .262/.301/.421 slash line with four HR and 13 RBI in 107 at-bats on the season. His recent play is even more impressive considering he only returned from the IL 10 days ago after being hit in the face by a fastball thrown by Braves starting pitcher Jacob Webb in mid-May. Pillar will continue to get most of the playing time in centerfield until Nimmo returns from the IL. He is a decent add and streaming option for fantasy managers in deep mixed leagues and NL-only formats while he continues to get regular playing time.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
