3 years agoMinnesota Twins relief pitcher Alex Colome worked a scoreless frame for his team in Wednesday's loss to the New York Yankees. Colome allowed one hit but struck out a pair of batters, inducing six whiffs in the process, five of them on his cutter. The veteran righty has certainly righted the ship since his poor April showing, though his Statcast metrics remain downright frightening. Colome ranks in the bottom five percent of the league in average exit velocity, barrel rate, expected ERA, and expected wOBA. Worst of all, he hasn't worked a save situation since April 21 and doesn't appear to be in line for one anytime soon, making him droppable in most formats.--Tim Capurso
