3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Jon Gray (forearm) played catch from 90-100 feet on Thursday in Miami, according to manager Bud Black. Gray is currently with the team on their road trip despite being on the injured list. Black added that his throwing program will increase in intensity once the team wraps up their series with the Marlins and heads to Cincinnati on Friday. The 29-year-old strained his right forearm flexor back on June 4 in a start against the Oakland A's but seems to be progressing quickly through his rehab. He should only end up missing one start if he doesn't experience any setbacks in recovery. Gray has a 4-6 record, 4.29 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts over 63 innings pitched this year.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
