Joey Votto Homers Against Brewers On Thursday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in a 7-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday. Votto connected for a solo shot in the second inning off of Brewers starter Freddy Peralta. Overall, the veteran first baseman is hitting .217 with six homers, 10 runs, and 19 RBI in 115 at-bats. His homer on Thursday was his first hit in nine at-bats since coming off of the injured list on Tuesday. Votto should continue to post quality power numbers with a career-high 48.2% hard-hit rate, an 87th percentile average exit velocity, and a 73rd percentile barrel rate.
