3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Cole Irvin allowed two runs - one earned - across six innings in a no-decision versus the Royals on Friday. Irvin allowed six hits but didn't surrender a walk while picking up four strikeouts in his latest quality outing. The right-hander won't pick up a ton of strikeouts as he's got just a 26 percent CSW% and a sub-10 swinging-strike rate, but he induces a lot of weak contact that plays up in Oakland's large home ballpark. Irvin is a solid streaming option in fantasy when he has a good matchup but is far from a must-roster option. He'll take a shot at the Angels next-time out--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
