3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman Mitch Moreland went 1-for-4 with a hit, a run scored, and two strikeouts in a win over the Royals on Friday. Moreland has struggled in his first year in Oakland as he's slashing just .238/.295/.397 and hasn't been playing every day as the A's have cycled through other players in the DH spot and Moreland will not get too many reps at first base with Matt Olson in town. He put up big power numbers with the Padres and Red Sox in the last two years, but Moreland is not a fantasy asset aside from hunting the cheap homer in DFS when he does crack the starting nine.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
