3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Zack Britton (elbow) has been reinstated from the 60-day injured list Saturday. The Yankees designated first baseman Mike Ford for assignment and optioned pitcher Brooks Kriske to Triple-A Scranton. Britton has missed the first two months of the season while recovering from an offseason elbow procedure. The veteran southpaw pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing six runs with a 5:3 strikeout-to-walk ratio in five rehab games across Double and Triple-A. Britton doesn't offer much in the way of strikeouts but can be a boost to fantasy manager's ratios, as well as their categories in leagues that track holds.--Tim Capurso
