3 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Cavan Biggio swatted his fourth homer of the season in his second game back from the IL versus the Red Sox in Saturday's 7-2 win. He took Nick Pivetta deep for a solo shot in the fifth inning and also logged a single and a double to finish the night going 3-for-4. Biggio has batted out of the eighth spot in the Jays order in back-to-back games which won't help his counting stats, but it should help him take some pressure off after he's began the year hitting just .222. Perhaps the time off the field benefitted the 26-year-old who has spent this season fielding two different positions rather than playing in his accustomed role at second base.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
