3 years agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu collected his third straight multi-hit game in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. LeMahieu notched a pair of base hits, extending his hit streak to three games while raising his season batting average to .261. The veteran infielder has disappointed this season, though he is definitely starting to turn the corner, batting .333 with a home run, two doubles, and five RBI over his last five contests. He has underperformed his expected batting average and wOBA this season, suggesting his actual stats should be a bit better, though his expected metrics still fall short of those he accrued in his first two seasons in the Bronx.--Tim Capurso
