Rhys Hoskins Extends Hitless Streak To 28 Plate Appearances
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in a loss to the Dodgers on Monday. Hoskins will need a map around the bases next time he gets a hit as the big first baseman is now hitless in his last 28 plate appearances and is batting just .238 this season. The 28-year-old is a notoriously streaky hitter so it wouldn't be surprising to see a power binge from him soon as he's still posting a strong 11.7 percent barrel rate and 90.7 average exit velocity. That being said, it's hard to trust Hoskins in fantasy lineups right now. His upside means he shouldn't be dropped, but he can be benched with matchups against Julio Urias and Clayton Kershaw next on the docket.
