3 years agoBaltimore Orioles left-hander John Means (shoulder) started playing catch on Tuesday as part of his progression, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports. Means was placed on the 10-day IL back on June 6 with a left shoulder strain. Now that he's started to play catch the next step would be some mound work and bullpen sessions before he can pitch in a rehab game. The Orioles will likely take their time with their ace, though. The 28-year-old is sporting a 2.28 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and 69:13 K/BB ratio over 71 innings (12 starts) this season.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
