Ryan McMahon Falls A Double Shy Of Cycle
3 years agoColorado Rockies third baseman Ryan McMahon had a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored in an 8-4 win over the Padres on Tuesday. McMahon put the Rockies on the board with an RBI triple in the bottom of the fourth inning off of Yu Darvish. He then took Darvish deep for a two-run dinger in the bottom of the sixth inning. He capped off his big night at the dish with a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning to put Colorado up 6-4. He ended up falling a double shy of the cycle and raised his batting line to .261/.308/.527 for the season. He's also got 16 home runs, 43 RBI, and three stolen bases on the year. He'll look to stay hot as the Rockies finish off the series with the Padres on Wednesday before hosting Milwaukee for four games. He's homered three times in the last five games.
