3 years agoColorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story went 1-for-2 with a double, two runs scored, and two walks in an 8-4 win over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Story led off the fourth inning with a double off of Yu Darvish and he would come around to score off of a Ryan McMahon triple in the same inning. He reached two more times in the contest with a pair of walks and tacked on another run. The 28-year-old shortstop is just 3-for-20 since coming off the injured list back on June 10 and is sporting a .245/.322/.402 batting line across 204 at-bats for the season. He's chipped in five home runs, 24 RBI, and nine stolen bases as well. Apart from the nine thefts, fantasy managers have to be pretty disappointed with the underwhelming numbers that the typically productive shortstop has put up so far.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
