3 years agoThe San Diego Padres plan to option swingman Ryan Weathers to Triple-A prior to Wednesday's game, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The 21-year-old lefty, who has a 2.47 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 47 1/3 innings, isn't currently needed in the rotation with Dinelson Lamet now built up, and his workload is being monitored closely. Weathers is mostly relevant in dynasty leagues but can also be monitored as a possible streamer later in the 2021 season if he gets back to the majors and re-enters the starting rotation for the Friars.--Josh Friedman
