3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder Jean Segura is dealing with a Grade 1 groin strain and could miss up to three weeks. He was placed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday. The injury comes at a bad time for the 31-year-old, who was averaging .440 over his last five games. Nick Maton was recalled in a corresponding move and should handle the keystone while Segura is out. Maton slashed .252/.300/.369 with two homers, eight RBI, 10 runs scored, and two stolen bases across 100 plate appearances for the Phillies in 2021. The 24-year-old is mainly an add-in deep-league formats. Brad Miller and Luke Williams could also see additional at-bats while Segura is sidelined.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
