Alec Bohm Collects Hit, Strikeout Versus Dodgers
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm went 1-for-4 with a single and a strikeout versus the Dodgers on Wednesday. Bohm continues to strike out too much as his 26.9 percent strikeout rate is seven percent higher than last season and much higher than any rate he posted over a full season in the minors. Too many whiffs and regression from his .410 BABIP last season have Bohm's batting average at an anemic .230 as he's been a disappointment for fantasy managers. When he does hit the ball he makes good contact as he's got a hard-hit rate of 48.5 percent. If he can cut back on the strikeouts Bohm has huge upside as the former top-prospect for the Phillies. He can be benched for now, however, as he's got some tough matchups in San Francisco lined up this weekend.
