4 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani will take the mound Thursday against the Tigers in Anaheim. Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a home run on Wednesday and has home runs in each of his last two games. Now he will take his MVP campaign to the mound, where he also has dominated. Ohtani earned the no-decision in his last start on June 11, allowing two runs through five innings with eight strikeouts. Ohtani is only 2-1 through nine starts but has held opposing hitters to a .172 average and will carry a 2.85 ERA into the start. Ohtani's two-way performance this season is one for the books and is a dynamite option at pitcher for Thursday in DFS leagues. He will then be an excellent source for power at the plate this weekend and is slashing .271/.350/.619 with 15 doubles and 19 home runs this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
