4 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Walsh is hitting only .212 in the month of June heading into Thursday's matchup against the Tigers. Walsh has 22 strikeouts over his last 52 at-bats but the 27-year-old continues to hit for consistent power. Over his last five games, Walsh has two home runs, three doubles, four runs scored and six runs batted in. It is a testament to the slugger's strong season that he can have a dip in batting average but still produce for an Angels lineup that has turned a corner recently. Walsh for the season is now slashing .286/.352/.550 with 15 home runs, 16 doubles, 36 runs scored and 46 runs batted in through 238 at-bats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
