3 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado went 1-for-3 with a walk and solo home run Thursday against the Cincinnati Reds. The 28-year-old has heated up lately, collecting knocks in eight of his past 10 contests and touting an .865 OPS in June. Despite a hard-hit rate in the 94th percentile, Machado has coasted to an uneven .243/.328/.435 slash with 10 long balls, six steals and 73 runs-plus-RBI over 265 plate appearances. While he's demonstrated more patience this year, fantasy managers would certainly prefer Machado rediscover his slugger tendencies to return the early round fantasy cost he commanded this offseason.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
