3 years agoNew York Yankees relief pitcher Chad Green earned the win in Thursday's victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Green allowed a run to cross the plate in the sixth inning, though it was charged to fellow relieve Lucas Luetge. The 30-year-old righty allowed one baserunner in the following frame but struck out a pair. Green now owns a 2.62 ERA, 0.87 WHIP, and a 33:8 strikeout-to-walk ratio, along with a pair of saves. The Yankee bullpen is certainly getting crowded with the return of Zack Britton- and Darren O'Day (shoulder) soon to follow- but Green remains a valuable part of the staff.--Tim Capurso
