3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (elbow) threw 40 pitches and faced batters in Worcester on Friday, Joe McDonald reported on Twitter. According to the report, Sale pitched to both a left-handed and right-handed hitter, with one batter calling Sale's stuff "filthy" as he was leaving the box. While Red Sox manager Alex Cora hasn't indicated exactly when the southpaw will start his rehab assignment, fantasy managers should be very encouraged by Sale's progress as he continues to bounce back from Tommy John surgery. As long as the 32-year-old lefty doesn't have any setbacks in his rehab assignment, he could have a lot of fantasy-friendly upside coming out of Boston's bullpen when he returns.--Chelena Goldman
