CJ Abrams Has Four Hits At Double-A
4 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop prospect CJ Abrams went 4-for-5 with four runs driven in on Friday at Double-A. The 20-year-old infielder hit two singles, two doubles, and stole a base. He now has a .307 batting average with nine doubles and 10 steals in 33 games. Selected sixth overall out of high school in the 2019 draft, Abrams has done nothing but hit in pro ball and had a .393 batting average in 34 games during his pro debut. He was jumped all the way from Rookie ball to Double-A to begin the 2021 season and has an impressive 120 wRC+. Abrams is ranked by Rotoballer as the fifth-best prospect for dynasty baseball.
